In the 11th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oskar Haeger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Alonso Berganza hit a great ball. Dave Di Filippo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingemar Stålman, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dave Di Filippo. After 20 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oskar Haeger was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oskar Haeger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Luz Tejedor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Ingemar Stålman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Dave Di Filippo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rolando Noboa came out and tried to block the shot, but Dave Di Filippo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 39th minute. Oskar Haeger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 43rd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Hjalmar Askelöf in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dave Di Filippo was the one to do the kick off. 63 minutes into the match, Hermanö Oilers's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Oskar Haeger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hermanö Oilers's Oskar Haeger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 63rd minute of play. Oskar Haeger made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Luz Tejedor sent off a good shot on target. 70 minutes into the match, Hermanö Oilers's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Oskar Haeger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Hjalmar Askelöf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hermanö Oilers's Luís Eduardo Loureiro was substituted for Horea Popârcea. Hermanö Oilers made a substitution. Bror Lilja replaced Harel Minsky. A collision led to Hermanö Oilers getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Hjalmar Askelöf hit a great ball. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Hermanö Oilers's Oskar Haeger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Gallo in the 90th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave Di Filippo, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 96 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oskar Haeger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peru's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Hermanö Oilers had won, even though Peru had held more of the ball.
