Nestor Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Joel Gaona scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mías Khalifa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mías Khalifa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nestor Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Mexico booed when Simbo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mías Khalifa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Luca Zorita heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Mías Khalifa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boleslaw Sidorowicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Boleslaw Sidorowicz was the one to do the kick off. Mías Khalifa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 52nd minute. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mías Khalifa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Simbo FC's goalkeeper Mías Khalifa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mías Khalifa came out and tried to block the shot, but Lautaro Mancebo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 61st minute. Simbo FC's Niceto Nafarroa was substituted for Boleslaw Sidorowicz. Simbo FC made a substitution. Miliano Sacristán replaced Tincho Palermo. After 67 minutes Simbo FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Lautaro Mancebo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Mías Khalifa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Simbo FC's Mías Khalifa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Simbo FC from getting a goal against them. 80 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mías Khalifa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Facundo Cadaval kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Simbo FC's Mías Khalifa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Simbo FC from getting a goal against them. Mías Khalifa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 90th minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miliano Sacristán, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Miliano Sacristán ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2.
