In the 22nd minute, Henrik Larsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Peru's Alonso Berganza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dylan van Baarle in the 28 minute of the game. In the 38th minute, Eliseo Mina made a precise shot to the right of Tadej Pogačar. Decathlon Dudes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Tadej Pogačar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. A hard shot 44 in the game by Henrik Larsson from a close distance when the talented Rolando Noboa managed to make a qualified save. Peru's players were relieved. Decathlon Dudes's Tadej Pogačar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 47th minute of play.

Eliseo Mina struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Tadej Pogačar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Tadej Pogačar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 54th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthon Melin, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tadej Pogačar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tadej Pogačar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 66th minute. Mauro Mendebal kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Decathlon Dudes's Henrik Larsson got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Decathlon Dudes's Henrik Larsson in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Milagros Fraga kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 76thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Decathlon Dudes's keeper Tadej Pogačar was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Larsson in the 77th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Tadej Pogačar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Luz Tejedor hit a great ball. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Tadej Pogačar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th of the match, Rafael Gallo tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Tadej Pogačar got in the way and made a wonderful save. Tadej Pogačar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael Gallo's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Peru were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
