Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Zenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 4 minutes, Alex Vrânceanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Scorpions -MM- and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alex Vrânceanu kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Walter Zenga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Alex Vrânceanu hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Walter Zenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20th play minutes Octav Vătăşel shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Julio Vera and just under the crossbar into goal. 23 minutes into the match, Scorpions -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Walter Zenga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Scorpions -MM-'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Agustín Saelices got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Walter Zenga quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Scorpions -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornel Giuverdea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walter Zenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of the match. When Scorpions -MM-'s Augustin Vergulescu in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. 38 minutes into the match, Scorpions -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Walter Zenga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Scorpions -MM-'s Cornel Giuverdea got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Tinu in the 44th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Scorpions -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Dobos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 48th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Scorpions -MM-. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augustin Vergulescu made a kick off. Antonio Arias lost his temper 53 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ecuador fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Scorpions -MM- a penalty, 56 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dan Tinu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. 2-0. 59 minutes into the game, Alex Vrânceanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Scorpions -MM-'s Traian Uzuneanu was substituted for Augustin Vergulescu. After 65 played minutes Scorpions -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Cornel Giuverdea. In the 67th minute, Scorpions -MM-'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristian Sancho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 69 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Scorpions -MM-'s Walter Zenga. Walter Zenga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Scorpions -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorinel Munteanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Walter Zenga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Walter Zenga made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Walter Zenga was a little too slow when Felix Montenegro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 3-2. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Scorpions -MM-'s goalkeeper Walter Zenga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Uzuneanu in the 94th minute of play. Walter Zenga made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. The Scorpions -MM- players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
