In the 22nd minute, Augustin Vergulescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Augustin Vergulescu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Augustin Vergulescu slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 29th minute. 33 minutes into the game, Dan Tinu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scorpions -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. A collision led to Scorpions -MM- getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augustin Vergulescu got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustin Vergulescu in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 44th match minute, Scorpions -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Mihuț to maneuver through the defense. Fabian Mihuț hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

After having played for 52 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 53 minutes into the match, Scorpions -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Walter Zenga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augustin Vergulescu in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Walter Zenga made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. When Scorpions -MM-'s Augustin Vergulescu in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Scorpions -MM- fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
