Ulryk Bugajski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 9th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Samuel Hitz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 18th match minute, Argentino de Buenos Aires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Bartuelo to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Argentino de Buenos Aires's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Alguacil came free, but Ulryk Bugajski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidoro Sarmiento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Argentino de Buenos Aires's Claudio Bartuelo got a free kick in the 27th minute. 32 minutes into the game, Felipe Ros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Argentino de Buenos Aires the free kick. Felipe Ros kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dylan Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Feliciano Salvatore from long distance, 33 minutes into the match, got Marcos Cotilla's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 40th minute Rafael Piarres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Argentino de Buenos Aires's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Ulryk Bugajski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Argentino de Buenos Aires's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abraham Alguacil was slow to take the kick. During this time Panama's players had a chance to rest. Panama's Abraham Alguacil was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ulryk Bugajski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ulryk Bugajski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 45th minute of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Rafael Piarres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Argentino de Buenos Aires's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Piarres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Argentino de Buenos Aires getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Carolo Frasquito hit a great ball. Ulryk Bugajski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Miralles, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ulryk Bugajski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Hitz in the 56th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Carolo Frasquito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Argentino de Buenos Aires's Ulryk Bugajski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 59th minute of play. After 64 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Barrios. Abraham Alguacil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Ulryk Bugajski made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 68th minute of play forced Argentino de Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Ulryk Bugajski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Panama booed when Argentino de Buenos Aires was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Marcones didn't get a good kick on the ball. Argentino de Buenos Aires's Ulryk Bugajski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 71st minute of play. Panama's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abraham Alguacil in the 73rd minute. The corner ended in Abraham Alguacil almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Argentino de Buenos Aires's Ulryk Bugajski did a great save. After 78 minutes, Abraham Alguacil made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Argentino de Buenos Aires's Ulryk Bugajski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Argentino de Buenos Aires's Jose Gamus was substituted for Leonides Ixona. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Ulryk Bugajski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. Argentino de Buenos Aires made a substitution. Aureliano Domiku replaced Carolo Frasquito. Jose Gamus hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the last second Ulryk Bugajski throw himself and got hold of the ball when Tomas Berganza in the 86thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 87th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Argentino de Buenos Aires's Samuel Hitz got a free kick in the 90th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Panama eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
