The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Moises Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 孔亮铮 in the 8th minute of the match. In the 10th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Fernandino to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 谢挺银, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Jesus Carvallo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Jesus Carvallo got a free kick in the 24th minute. 孔亮铮 struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Ricardo Zorita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Ajax. Moises Fernandino charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moises Fernandino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The long shot by 白辰坚 in the 33rd minute really tested Ricardo Zorita's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 34 minutes of play El Salvador's Jesus Carvallo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Jesus Carvallo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, AFC Ajax's 秦镇远 got a free kick in the 37th minute. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 孔亮铮 in the 39th minute of play. 孔亮铮 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Ricardo Zorita made a huge save. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 孔亮铮, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 46 played minutes AFC Ajax got a freekick which was hit by 方耀平. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 孔亮铮 made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when 孔亮铮 came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moises Fernandino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The AFC Ajax fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 孔亮铮 in the 63rd minute of play. Abram Luque struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. 孟凌鹏 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Salvador. 67 minutes into the game, 孔亮铮 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When 袁源珂 fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC Ajax's protests and gave 袁源珂 a yellow card for diving instead. After 80 played minutes AFC Ajax got a freekick which was hit by 袁源珂. If 孔亮铮 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, 孔亮铮 managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Ajax's supporters rose to their feet, but 孔亮铮 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Zorita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 秦镇远 hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. El Salvador's Mateo Leguizamo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 88th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for AFC Ajax. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 孔亮铮, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. The supporters of AFC Ajax booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Leguizamo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 孔亮铮 took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0.
