Julio Vera acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 9th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gabriel Lange. Joxa mé trasan's Edward Engström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Joxa mé trasan's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Edward Engström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Joxa mé trasan's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. With an all-out effort, Joxa mé trasan's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arne Bronco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Edward Engström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 23rd minute of the match. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ludvig Ahlroth stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Edward Engström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludvig Ahlroth in the 54th minute of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edward Engström came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 56th minute. After 58 minutes of play, Joxa mé trasan's Arne Bronco made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 61st minute of the match Kevin Hellström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Edward Engström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 62nd minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arman von Liechtenstein in the 65th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Lange, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Gabriel Lange got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Lange, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Joxa mé trasan's Ludvig Ahlroth. But to his dismay, Ludvig Ahlroth quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Joxa mé trasan.
