In the 6th match minute, Gyál United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sulev Aare to maneuver through the defense. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmir Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gyál United's goalkeeper Horaţiu Petran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Walmir Breckenfeld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gyál United's Horaţiu Petran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 21st minute of play. Zoltán Varga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Walmir Breckenfeld made a precise shot to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Zoltán Varga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 32nd minute of play forced Gyál United's goalkeeper Horaţiu Petran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Grigore Stoicu sent off a good shot on target. A sloppy throw-in by Tito Montaño in the 37th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. Sulev Aare kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Deivid Trigo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Zoltán Varga struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gyál United. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Walmir Breckenfeld made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Gyál United's goalkeeper Horaţiu Petran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. Walmir Breckenfeld struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gyál United. Maximiliano Escribano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horaţiu Petran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Walmir Breckenfeld sped through Uruguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Walmir Breckenfeld took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zoltán Varga in the 65th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69thth minute of the game Walmir Breckenfeld who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Gyál United getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Sulev Aare hit a great ball. In the 71st minute of the match Jaime Cazalla sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Horaţiu Petran skillfully saved the ball. Zoltán Varga took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. If Konstantinos Kroustallis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Gyál United's Walmir Breckenfeld in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uruguay's goalie prevented a goal. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Konstantinos Kroustallis went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kenyon Lala during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Walmir Breckenfeld stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Walmir Breckenfeld tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zoltán Varga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. In the 89thth minute of the game Walmir Breckenfeld who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Francisco Seco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Horaţiu Petran when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 93 minutes into the game, Zoltán Varga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Joaquin Gayoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Uruguay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
