Zacarias Cabrero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and José Macías capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. José Macías really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 19th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Azul Y Plomo's Hector-Luis Arzola got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zacarias Cabrero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hector-Luis Arzola in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 32 minutes into the game, Felix Montes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Azul Y Plomo the free kick. Navarro Rojas shot from long distance in the 33rd minute, but Julio Vera was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Zacarias Cabrero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th match minute, Azul Y Plomo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diaz Mota to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zacarias Cabrero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 37th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Cabrero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Azul Y Plomo getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Navarro Rojas hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hector-Luis Arzola in the 45th minute. 2-0 became the score in the 47th minute when Hector-Luis Arzola elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.

After 52 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Zacarias Cabrero in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Macías in the 63rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chiriboga Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Felix Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Azul Y Plomo's Klimowitz Aguinaga was substituted for Salas Larrinzar. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Azul Y Plomo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Azul Y Plomo's Ximen Barnuevo got a free kick in the 70th minute. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Zacarias Cabrero made a huge save. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chiriboga Torres in the 84th minute of play. José Macías's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th match minute, Azul Y Plomo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klimowitz Aguinaga to maneuver through the defense. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Manolo Area took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Azul Y Plomo fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Azul Y Plomo's Eduardo Macías looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Azul Y Plomo were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
