After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Niceto Arixo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Niceto Arixo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute of the match Niceto Arixo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Manzanares skillfully saved the ball. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Colombia! 24 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arí Saron. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Saron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kevin Mastache hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Valle Saron's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Mastache came free, but Emiliano Saron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Arixo in the 43rd minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Montenegro made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Emiliano Saron, 1-1. Valle Saron made a substitution. Pepito Saron replaced Chumo Salces. Joakim Back made in the 62nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Colombia's Antonio Indiano. After a rather tough play, Valle Saron's Joakim Back got a free kick in the 70th minute. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Joakim Back kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gianfranco Saron in the 83rd minute of play. In the 88th minute Abram Secada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Saron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gianfranco Saron in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emiliano Saron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Secada in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Gianfranco Saron notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valle Saron's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
