The tension between the Valdieri and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th minute, Elia Mascitti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th match minute, Valdieri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Forte to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute of the match Luca Espinar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alberto Andreola showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 13 minutes in the game Elia Mascitti did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Edoardo Rinaldi. Eraldo Ippoliti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lautaro Navarro having to make a save. After 18 played minutes Valdieri got a freekick which was hit by Anfilogino Di Santo. 24 minutes into the match, Valdieri's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Alberto Andreola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberto Andreola saved Valdieri from getting behind. When Dennis Berardo came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Valdieri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dennis Berardo couldn't finish the play. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Sebastian Villa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alberto Andreola. Valdieri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Villa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The Valdieri players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Honduras were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. Christian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Alberto Andreola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Sebastian Villa had to leave the field with a concussion. Alfonso Aloisi charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Alberto Andreola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
