Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patric Sandwall having to interfere. Escobar Maya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. Svante Lekberg succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 24th playminute. In the 27th minute of the match, Svante Lekberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcos Cotilla saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 32 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Svante Lekberg came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Escobar Maya took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilio Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atilio Garcia in the 44th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Atilio Garcia sent off a good shot on target. Escobar Maya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Audaz FC booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abraham Alguacil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serginho Chulapa in the 64th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serginho Chulapa went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Tomas Berganza hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 71stth minute of the game Serginho Chulapa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panama's Marcos Cotilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Svante Lekberg came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patric Sandwall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Arainz took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Aaron Barrios kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Arainz came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svante Lekberg in the 97th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Audaz FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Panama had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
