Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Joel Gaona made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 2nd minute, Mantorp's Elias Skräddare seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Elias Skräddare the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mantorp protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Elias Skräddare had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Mantorp's Elias Skräddare got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sven-Olof Gummeson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Mantorp's Dante Lacasa threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sven-Edvin Henriksson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 16 minutes into the match, Mantorp's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Sven-Olof Gummeson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Olof Gummeson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 20th minute of play forced Mantorp's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Gummeson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 21st minute. Mantorp's Sven-Olof Gummeson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Bernt Kihlberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Sven-Edvin Henriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anders Olofsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Henriksson in the 43rd minute of play. Sven-Olof Gummeson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernt Kihlberg made a kick off. With a little luck, Mantorp's Sven-Olof Gummeson got control of the ball when Facundo Cadaval tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sven-Olof Gummeson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Joel Gaona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 67 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Bernt Kihlberg came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, Lautaro Mancebo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute, Mats Ingemarsson made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 82 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sven-Olof Gummeson. Mantorp's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Henriksson in the 85th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Mats Ingemarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven-Olof Gummeson made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mantorp's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Lorenzo Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
