Arne Emander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jesus Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Rolf Henriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bajen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolf Henriksson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute Sebastian Hafström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moises Fernandino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Rolf Henriksson made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Moises Fernandino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Salvador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentino Ferrant during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Valentino Ferrant hit a great ball. In the 58th minute Mathias Jönsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Zorita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rolf Henriksson went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 72 minutes into the match, Bajen's goalkeeper Arne Emander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moises Fernandino. When Jesus Carvallo fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Salvador's protests and gave Jesus Carvallo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute, Jesus Carvallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mathias Jönsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Arne Emander came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by El Salvador's Moises Fernandino. But to his dismay, Moises Fernandino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in El Salvador's zone, Gilbert Waller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal and Gilbert Waller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
