Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gianluca Scamacca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Francisco Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustaw Fafinski was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Francisco Seco succeeded in the game's 14th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. The audience was convinced that Gianluca Scamacca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gianluca Scamacca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Stig Rødal tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's Gianluca Scamacca got a free kick in the 34th minute. 38 minutes into the match, KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Gustaw Fafinski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Uruguay were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gianluca Scamacca was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gianluca Scamacca in the 51st minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianluca Scamacca in the 65th minute of play. Francisco Seco made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 69thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Gustaw Fafinski would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Maximiliano Escribano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustaw Fafinski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Kevin Carballal hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 73rd match minute, KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Sozzi to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's goalkeeper Gustaw Fafinski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Gianluca Scamacca came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gianluca Scamacca couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's Gustaw Fafinski got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A made a substitution. Flávio Paixão replaced Marco Paixão. The supporters of KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A. Francisco Seco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Gustaw Fafinski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 94th minute, Claudio Sozzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 95 played minutes KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A got a freekick which was hit by Stig Rødal. KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Uruguay to leave the ground with a draw.
