Rolf Pettersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolf Pettersson. Fusk&Bygg AB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 19th minute. Tom Fagrell received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Tom Fagrell slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 24th minute. In the 30th minute, Fusk&Bygg AB's Edgar Ferm dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. After 32 played minutes Fusk&Bygg AB got a freekick which was hit by Pär Kinnman. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolf Pettersson saved Fusk&Bygg AB from getting behind. Tom Fagrell hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Rolf Pettersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fusk&Bygg AB's goalkeeper Rolf Pettersson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rolf Pettersson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Rolf Pettersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgar Ferm was the one to do the kick off. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Pettersson having to interfere. After 76 played minutes Fusk&Bygg AB got a freekick which was hit by Claes Gråberg. Rolf Pettersson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 77th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tomas Illescas. Rolf Pettersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Rolf Pettersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolf Pettersson made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Rolf Pettersson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Patricio Costa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 98 minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Venezuela eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
