After the first half Peru were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Glintung FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Giles Janda hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the game, Moises Gayoso threw the ball into play from the sideline. Glintung FC's Amran Karisma quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 61 minutes in the game Chi Liège did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Malam Senin. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amran Karisma in the 62nd minute of the match. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bandit Idaman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Glintung FC's Chiazagomekpele Phoowacharoonkun was substituted for Giles Janda. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Amran Karisma kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Rafael Gallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lev Buffon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Amran Karisma came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
