Mikoláš Vozka stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Jan Skýpala succeeded in the game's 22nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. When Sebastian Villa came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Villa couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Honduras booed when A.A. Čhecos Jrs. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ladislav Abraham didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 played minutes, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mikoláš Vozka came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Honduras reached it. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Roman Poštulka sent off a good shot on target. But to his dismay, Roman Poštulka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mikoláš Vozka was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. The Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.
