The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Ahmet Necdet Yunus sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind CİCERO's goalkeeper Ennio Orsini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ennio Orsini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. A collision led to CİCERO getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Olcay Tekdoğan hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ennio Orsini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 62nd minute of play forced CİCERO's goalkeeper Ennio Orsini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner was taken by Burç Taycan in the 84th minute. The corner ended in Burç Taycan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. In the 93rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ennio Orsini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing CİCERO to leave the ground with a draw.
