With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Furgal in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Acep Abidin in the 55th minute of play. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iwan Nakoneczny read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play.
