Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Josemir Lujambio started the match with the kick off. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Denis Dolmos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Denis Dolmos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute of play. In the 14th minute Josemir Lujambio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Dolmos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Denis Dolmos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Denis Dolmos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Felix Montenegro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atlético Argentino's Denis Dolmos did a great save. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Denis Dolmos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Atlético Argentino's Joaquín Guzmán got a free kick in the 29th minute. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Dolmos having to interfere. When Atlético Argentino's Eulalio Jago in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. After 35th play minutes Eulalio Jago shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Julio Vera and just under the crossbar into goal. Eufemio Yabbarov kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Ennu Krae made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Atlético Argentino's Pascual Ledesma was substituted for Pastor Nofre. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Atlético Argentino's Denis Dolmos got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Josemir Lujambio in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Atlético Argentino's Denis Dolmos got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 60th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Cristian Sancho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atlético Argentino's Denis Dolmos did a great save. After 62 played minutes Atlético Argentino got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Ledesma. In the 69th minute of the match, Felix Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Denis Dolmos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 71st minute, Meder Fabelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atlético Argentino's David Piarres was substituted for Ennu Krae. After 72 played minutes Atlético Argentino got a freekick which was hit by Meder Fabelo. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 72nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Denis Dolmos but with some difficulty. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josemir Lujambio in the 74th minute of play. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Denis Dolmos made a huge save. In the 76th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Atlético Argentino's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, Atlético Argentino's Denis Dolmos got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josemir Lujambio in the 81st minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josemir Lujambio in the 83rd minute of play. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Denis Dolmos made a huge save. In the 85th minute Josemir Lujambio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Dolmos having to interfere. Atlético Argentino's Josemir Lujambio got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Dolmos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Atlético Argentino fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ecuador had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
