The supporters of Ecuador booed when Corrupção DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radoslaw Dlugi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Corrupção DMZ's Fausto Gaspar. Fausto Gaspar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 10 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fausto Gaspar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Sílvio Luiz Quintal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Radoslaw Dlugi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 2-1 in the 22 minute of play. Fausto Gaspar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Rossi in the 32nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Gaspar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Ahmet Haşim Tanak's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmet Haşim Tanak helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th match minute, Corrupção DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Haşim Tanak to maneuver through the defense. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fausto Gaspar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fausto Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 42nd minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fausto Gaspar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After a rather tough play, Corrupção DMZ's Radomir Fiszer got a free kick in the 44th minute. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patrick Rossi made a kick off. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corrupção DMZ's Diego Armando was substituted for Radoslaw Dlugi. Luis Andino took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fausto Gaspar. Fausto Gaspar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fausto Gaspar came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 67th minute. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Fausto Gaspar made a huge save. In the 73rd minute, Sílvio Luiz Quintal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 75th minute of play forced Corrupção DMZ's goalkeeper Fausto Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adil Budak kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Fausto Gaspar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-6 was the resulting score. Corrupção DMZ's Fausto Gaspar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Corrupção DMZ from getting a goal against them.
