Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Julian Murillo kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriele Batistuta got free with Rolando Noboa in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Peru fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Peru's Julian Murillo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 17th minute of play forced Menchu FC's goalkeeper Camilo Salvidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Salvidor came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Camilo Salvidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor. Camilo Salvidor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 31st minute of the game, Lucas Martínez Quarta landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Eliseo Mina's late challenge caught a Menchu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseo Mina helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Menchu FC booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Menchu FC's Silverio Sergi was substituted for Lucas Martínez Quarta. After 32 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Mina. The supporters of Peru booed when Menchu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caetano Linhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moises Gayoso hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. If Uriel Gorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Peru were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriele Batistuta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 51st minute of play. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Gabriele Batistuta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriele Batistuta in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 74th minute of play. Menchu FC made a substitution. Primitivo Rocendo replaced Peter Söderqwist. In the 77th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Menchu FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdoulay Doucouré, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Camilo Salvidor, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice moves Luz Tejedor could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which Camilo Salvidor however easily saved by the left post. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. When the match was over Peru could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Menchu FC throughout the match.
