Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Joel Gaona made the kick off which started today's match. Luca Zorita's late challenge caught a SAN LORENZO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luca Zorita helped the player get up and apologised. Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Lisandro Nuñez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Dario Astigar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dario Astigar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by SAN LORENZO FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dario Astigar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, SAN LORENZO FC's Ernie Siegel got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Dario Astigar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lisandro Nuñez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Quintas came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Alberto Tafalla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dario Astigar. That made the score 0-1 after 58 minutes of play. Joel Gaona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dario Astigar having to make a save. SAN LORENZO FC's Ciriaco Cordarrell was substituted for Lisandro Nuñez. Dario Astigar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 74th minute of play. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 75th minute. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by SAN LORENZO FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dario Astigar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. SAN LORENZO FC's Dario Astigar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save SAN LORENZO FC from getting a goal against them. If Ciriaco Cordarrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 83 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Ciriaco Cordarrell came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to SAN LORENZO FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Lv Tian Yuan hit a great ball. Dario Astigar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 88th minute. In the 92nd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Leoz to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciriaco Cordarrell in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. The SAN LORENZO FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
