Tautvydas Mickevičius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 6th minute of play. Francisco Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Sainz got a throw-in 12 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Francisco Seco. Tautvydas Mickevičius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Osvaldo Gabon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joaquin Gayoso came out and tried to block the shot, but Osvaldo Gabon slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 22nd minute. In the 34th minute, Davi Coutinho fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Joaquin Gayoso, passed just outside the right post. Tautvydas Mickevičius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Franco in the 38th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Tautvydas Mickevičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Tautvydas Mickevičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximiliano Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The throw-in from Camilo Covarrubias in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Lucio Txordon. In the 46thth minute of the game Maximiliano Escribano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Tautvydas Mickevičius was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The wind increased when Davi Coutinho made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Francisco Seco made it 1-5 with a short kick to the right side. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Tautvydas Mickevičius tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 56 minutes in the game Jorge Sainz did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Camilo Franco. The supporters of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. The crowd rose to their feet as Francisco Seco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tautvydas Mickevičius. That made the score 1-6 in the 70 minute of play. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Tautvydas Mickevičius made a huge save. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Maximiliano Escribano scored to the left of an out of position Tautvydas Mickevičius, making the score, 1-7. A hard shot 80 in the game by Francisco Seco from a close distance when the talented Tautvydas Mickevičius managed to make a qualified save. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's players were relieved. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Tautvydas Mickevičius made a huge save. Jaime Cazalla was slow to take the kick. During this time Uruguay's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Jaime Cazalla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tautvydas Mickevičius quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Tautvydas Mickevičius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 96th minute.
