The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Guillermo Mariano a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Büyükçekmece FC.:s goal. In the 8thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Büyükçekmece FC.'s Erol Suer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erol Suer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Persson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Bishop Fazey tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Persson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Persson in the 27th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Jan Persson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan Persson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 30th minute, Jan Persson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Jan Persson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jan Persson had several of the Venezuela's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 35 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-0 score and a disappointed Jonathan Ferrant as he didn't even see the shot coming.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan Persson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan Persson's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Jan Persson scored 6-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Persson in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Jan Persson might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan Persson ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Persson, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Jan Persson took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. In the 67th minute Bishop Fazey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Jan Persson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Büyükçekmece FC. made a substitution. Cemalettin Sehriyar replaced Alvar Vester. 77 minutes into the match, Büyükçekmece FC.'s goalkeeper Erol Suer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Sergio Hug hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Jan Persson took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got his second yellow card of the match in the 96th minute. The referee ordered Guillermo Mariano off the ground. In the 97th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Büyükçekmece FC. had won after a very even match.
