An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Almiron in the 26th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baltasar Sancho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 39th minute of the match. A collision led to Sacro Balompié getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Israel Berenguer hit a great ball. Aquiles Bieito received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dante Lacasa came out and tried to block the shot, but Aquiles Bieito slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. In the 55th minute Miguel Almiron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute Apolo Peto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Baltasar Sancho was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sacro Balompié's Apolo Peto. But to his dismay, Apolo Peto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 69th minute, Mexico's Joel Gaona dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 74th minute of play forced Sacro Balompié's goalkeeper Baltasar Sancho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Sacro Balompié's Miguel Almiron nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Miguel Almiron kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Almiron in the 83rd minute of play. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Alberto Tafalla hit a great ball. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltasar Sancho having to interfere. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Bernal in the 91st minute of play. In the 95th minute Matias Maties shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sacro Balompié's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
