Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 13th minute, 曲冰卫 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Cylon's 姚广邦 got a free kick in the 14th minute. After having played for 16 minutes, 沈迪志 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cylon's supporters crossed their fingers, but 沈迪志 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Cylon getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. 沈迪志 hit a great ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 沈迪志 in the 21st minute of play. 沈迪志's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, 沈迪志 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cylon's supporters rose to their feet, but 沈迪志 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 林城谦 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Cylon getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. 马远银 hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by 姚广邦 in the 46th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 汪飞文 was the one to do the kick off. Cylon's 林城谦 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Cylon from getting a goal against them. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cylon's goalkeeper 林城谦, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 林城谦 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 沈迪志 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cylon's 潘悦希 was substituted for 庞桦景. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 龙钢超 went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 林城谦 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 80th minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 沈迪志 in the 82nd minute of play. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Cylon's goalkeeper 林城谦 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. The supporters of Cylon booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Cylon were victorious despite being under pressure from Venezuela for much of the match.
