Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristiano Aveiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Anthony Alvarado got a throw-in 6 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Moises Gayoso. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grabiel Escorcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grabiel Escorcia in the 23rd minute of the match. After 24 played minutes Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Marta Minuhin. Cristiano Aveiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Cristiano Aveiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 32nd minute of play. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Grabiel Escorcia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Grabiel Escorcia might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Noboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Grabiel Escorcia ran back to his position shaking his head. Grabiel Escorcia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. Cristiano Aveiro came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Cristiano Aveiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliseo Mina went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. A collision led to Nacional getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Joseph Gayoso hit a great ball. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Grabiel Escorcia made a kick off. Cristiano Aveiro made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Luz Tejedor sent off a good shot on target. Nacional's Cristiano Aveiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Nacional from getting a goal against them. Xu Sha made a great header on Nacional's corner, it was just that Peru's Rolando Noboa managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Aveiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano Aveiro was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 67th minute of play forced Nacional's goalkeeper Cristiano Aveiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Grabiel Escorcia came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nacional were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Xu Sha took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Xu Sha got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rolando Noboa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
