Axel Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Navarro Montoya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kevin Mastache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Jastreb defense, Axel Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Navarro Montoya. The Jastreb fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Navarro Montoya should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Colombia booed when Jastreb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sixto Figueroa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jastreb's Navarro Montoya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 41st minute of play. After the first half Colombia were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Kevin Mastache charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kevin Mastache the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kevin Mastache hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 52 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Cantona came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes into the game, Bo Cantona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Ruben Rolado fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jastreb's protests and gave Ruben Rolado a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Jastreb getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ruben Rolado hit a great ball. The throw-in from Börje Forsberg in the 61st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Colombia's Antonio Indiano. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jastreb's goalkeeper Navarro Montoya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jastreb made a substitution. Bo Ronaldo replaced Bo Cantona. Jastreb's Witalis Fedosz suffered a sore thigh after 75 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Luis Cazalla's late challenge caught a Jastreb's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luis Cazalla helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. Bo Ronaldo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Jastreb's Ruben Rolado got a free kick in the 82nd minute. When Ruben Rolado came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Jastreb fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruben Rolado couldn't finish the play. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo Ronaldo in the 88th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Börje Forsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Navarro Montoya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute, Bo Ronaldo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Pascual Carballar got a free kick in the 94th minute. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
