Clemente Antunes hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After 35 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Escribano. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Seco made a kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Waldir Cearense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Tamboril's Frank Netto got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frank Netto. Tamboril's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Seco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 61 minutes into the match, Uruguay's Francisco Seco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frank Netto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Tamboril was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Seco struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Frank Netto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. In the 66th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Beldad. In the 70th minute, Waldir Cearense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tamboril fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The audience was convinced that Francisco Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frank Netto was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Waldir Cearense sped through Uruguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Frank Netto in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute, Uruguay's Francisco Seco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franklin Salgado in the 88th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Waldir Cearense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Francisco Seco in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Frank Netto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
