Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baldomiro Txindoki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 6th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Baldomiro Txindoki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baldomiro Txindoki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 9th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilson Arósio got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Wilson Arósio. But to his dismay, Wilson Arósio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 29th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Wilson Arósio took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The supporters of Venezuela booed when FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Grabiel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Baldomiro Txindoki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petrică Cândreanu in the 51st minute of play. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Iulian Pietreanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iulian Pietreanu went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 65thth minute of the game Iulian Pietreanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Baldomiro Txindoki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Arósio in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to FC UNIREA Alba Iulia getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Nicolae Ungureanu hit a great ball. If Orçun Yalınalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the game, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Wilson Arósio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. After 89 minutes, Wilson Arósio made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd match minute, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils-Emil Hansson to maneuver through the defense. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
