Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. Juniors FC's Octavio Fidele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 6th minute of play. Juniors FC's Hernan Torres quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Efrain Moruga, made in the 10th minute of the game. Juniors FC's attentive Hernan Torres managed to snatch the ball when Eliseo Noboa made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. Hugo Ferrant made in the 14th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Aaron Alcocer however managed to control. Juniors FC's Bastian San Juan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hugo Ferrant, made in the 15th minute of the game. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The supporters of Juniors FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 20 minutes, Humberto Lange managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juniors FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto Lange was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Humberto Lange capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Humberto Lange really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The Costa Rica fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Costa Rica's Axel Tasis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 44 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Berse.

The wind increased when Lucas Berse made the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Puig took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Octavio Fidele. Octavio Fidele dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Juniors FC's Bastian San Juan managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hugo Ferrant in the 57 minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Octavio Fidele. That made the score 1-3 after 59 minutes of play. 65 minutes into the game, Efrain Moruga threw the ball into play from the sideline. Juniors FC's Hernan Torres quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Hugo Ferrant made in the 74th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Juniors FC's Mathias Roganović. Mathias Roganović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Juniors FC's attentive Hernan Torres managed to snatch the ball when Efrain Moruga made a throw-in in the 76th minute of the game. When Eliseo Noboa fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Eliseo Noboa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Noboa to maneuver through the defense. With 81 minutes on the clock, Federico Kradi commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Octavio Fidele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 91st minute of the match. When Lucas Berse fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Juniors FC's protests and gave Lucas Berse a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Juniors FC's Lucas Berse got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Juniors FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
