After taking down the ball on Suipacha FC's corner Oscar Moise fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Suipacha FC were furious when Oscar Moise was red carded, 23 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 25th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Stanislao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferdi Sekste kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Paulo Dibala made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Paulo Dibala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Daniel Zorita, 44 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 46th minute of the match, Paulo Dibala tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 62nd minute of play forced Suipacha FC's goalkeeper Justino Stanislao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 65 in the game by Felix Montenegro from a close distance when the talented Justino Stanislao managed to make a qualified save. Suipacha FC's players were relieved. A collision led to Suipacha FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jeronimo Urtsin hit a great ball. After having played for 70 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Suipacha FC's Jonatan Lartaun was substituted for Jeronimo Urtsin. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justino Stanislao prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ferdi Sekste hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Dibala in the 77th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Stanislao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. In the 84th minute, Jonatan Lartaun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Suipacha FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Dibala, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Preston Keato made a great header on Suipacha FC's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save.
