Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Erserman in the 4th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the game, Rickard Erserman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Rickard Erserman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Erserman in the 9th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickard Erserman in the 11th minute of the match. If Samuel Abel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Samuel Abel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 16th minute Rickard Erserman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Rickard Erserman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Rickard Erserman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickard Erserman in the 26th minute of the match. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter de Chillán's Samuel Abel. But to his dismay, Samuel Abel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 30th minute, Rickard Erserman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. 6-0 became the score in the 38th minute when Rickard Erserman elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 42nd minute Samuel Abel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rickard Erserman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. 46 minutes into the game, Inter de Chillán's Rickard Erserman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rickard Erserman in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Inter de Chillán fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Inter de Chillán's Rickard Erserman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Inter de Chillán's Rickard Erserman got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eladio Araujo in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 63rdth minute of the game Eladio Araujo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Eladio Araujo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. After 71 minutes, Eliseo Noboa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Inter de Chillán players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 71st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eladio Araujo in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. In the 75th minute, Samuel Abel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eladio Araujo in the 76th minute of play. After 77 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eladio Araujo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inter de Chillán's Anton Björnberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 81st minute of play. Inter de Chillán's attentive Tobías Izamit managed to snatch the ball when Lautaro Puig made a throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game. The supporters of Inter de Chillán booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Inter de Chillán's Eladio Araujo in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. Florencio Jax hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute Samuel Abel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Inter de Chillán fully deserved thier win.
