When Arlo Arruta came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Esquirla FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arlo Arruta couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Esquirla FC booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Mastache didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Pedro Manzanares successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Axel Montenegro hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Arlo Arruta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arlo Arruta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Arlo Arruta took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 57 minutes into the match, Esquirla FC's Benjamin Specht sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Colombia's Abram Sarmiento in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Arlo Arruta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Arlo Arruta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abram Secada got free with Florian Caes in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Esquirla FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kevin Mastache was slow to take the kick. During this time Colombia's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Luis Cazalla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Esquirla FC's Florian Caes did a great save. Florian Caes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 74th minute of the match. Florian Caes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 76th minute of play. Arlo Arruta might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arlo Arruta ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 79th minute, Colombia's Abram Secada ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Florian Caes. Florian Caes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Florian Caes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ignacio Mastache showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 81 minute of play. Esquirla FC's Dedé van Beek quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Samuel Navarro, made in the 86th minute of the game. In the 87th minute Arlo Arruta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 89 minutes, Santino Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santino Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Colombia booed when Esquirla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yvan Maes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
