The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, RS Wikowyje's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Redha Elin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Korneliusz Bejger helped the player get up and apologised. After 5 played minutes RS Wikowyje got a freekick which was hit by Korneliusz Bejger. In the 10th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Redha Elin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Bogdan Fikus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Redha Elin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Bogdan Fikus reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 2-1. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 27th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Redha Elin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Redha Elin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bogdan Fikus. Redha Elin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 48th minute of play forced RS Wikowyje's goalkeeper Redha Elin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The wind increased when Bogdan Fikus made the kick off in the second half. RS Wikowyje's Redha Elin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save RS Wikowyje from getting a goal against them. Primitivo Andino made in the 56th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Felix Montenegro. Bogdan Fikus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Bogdan Fikus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. If Bogdan Fikus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogdan Fikus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Redha Elin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the match, RS Wikowyje's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Redha Elin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 95th minute of play forced RS Wikowyje's goalkeeper Redha Elin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The RS Wikowyje support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
