Stickleback Utd Xl's Felix Crayon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Crayon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edvard Bure in the 22nd minute. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Felix Crayon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Stephen Clapham charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stephen Clapham the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Stickleback Utd Xl getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Stephen Clapham hit a great ball. Felix Crayon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Edvard Bure got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felix Crayon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Felix Crayon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felix Crayon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 86th minute of play forced Stickleback Utd Xl's goalkeeper Felix Crayon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvester Odell in the 88th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the game, Silvester Odell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gary Pettifer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
