Martin Crețu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute of the match, Okan Koc got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rolando Noboa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Okan Koc's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rolando Noboa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Martin Crețu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milagros Fraga in the 7th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Milagros Fraga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Martin Crețu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 17 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Okan Koc. Thanks to some nice moves Okan Koc could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Rolando Noboa however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milagros Fraga in the 19th minute of play forced Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Martin Crețu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Crețu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 23rdth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stiinta-Univ.'s Martin Crețu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Martin Crețu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 39th minute of play. Luz Tejedor struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Martin Crețu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Peru's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Okan Koc scored to the left of an out of position Rolando Noboa, making the score, 2-2. Stiinta-Univ. made a substitution. Valeriu Morovan replaced Okan Koc. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

In the 61stth minute of the game Shi Ming Sheng who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurel Panait in the 64th minute of play. The supporters of Peru booed when Stiinta-Univ. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Martin Crețu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Vágner Vargas made a throw-in in the 71st minute of the game. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Vágner Vargas in the 74 minute of the game. Martin Crețu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 76th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Stiinta-Univ.'s zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Crețu came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Alvarado to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Valeriu Morovan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valeriu Morovan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Rafael Gallo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Martin Crețu came out and tried to block the shot, but Rafael Gallo slotted it home off the left post making it 3-3 in the 92nd minute. Stiinta-Univ.'s Martin Crețu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Stiinta-Univ. from getting a goal against them. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valeriu Morovan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Shi Ming Sheng put it in 4-3 from a short distance just to the right of Rolando Noboa. Stiinta-Univ.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
