Eleuterio Vermudo's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eleuterio Vermudo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cridas FC's Eleuterio Vermudo got a free kick in the 10th minute. If Epifanio Urdaspal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Milagros Cabal hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The supporters of Cridas FC booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Espinar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eleuterio Vermudo got his second yellow card in the match during the 24th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Eleuterio Vermudo kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ermegildo Olivar got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cridas FC's Herminio Otsando was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sánchez in the 46th minute of play. The supporters of Cridas FC booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Villa didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Cristian Sánchez made the kick off in the second half. Eloy Sedeni made in the 54th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. Cridas FC's Eloy Sedeni managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Valentín Carvallo in the 58 minute of the game. 63 minutes into the game, Eloy Sedeni threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Christian Sancho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Cridas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sánchez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eloy Sedeni made in the 96th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ermegildo Olivar. Honduras's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
