Unidose II FC's Levon Sarkisyan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 13th minute of play. If Joshua Secada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Levon Sarkisyan saved Unidose II FC from getting behind. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Levon Sarkisyan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Sérgio de Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 played minutes Unidose II FC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Tinoco. In the 40th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Levon Sarkisyan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's goalie Jonathan Ferrant was quick on his feet when Eladio Sotorrio aimed and made a shot towards the top left corner. The goalie picked down the ball without great difficulties. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Unidose II FC's Eladio Sotorrio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eladio Sotorrio to make the kick off. If Osmar Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Unidose II FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Eladio Sotorrio hit a great ball. After 57 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. Unidose II FC's Levon Sarkisyan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Unidose II FC from getting a goal against them. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Unidose II FC's goalkeeper Levon Sarkisyan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eladio Sotorrio in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eladio Sotorrio in the 67th minute of play. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Amadeu Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After 75 played minutes Unidose II FC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Tinoco. 78 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Eladio Sotorrio came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th match minute, Unidose II FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeu Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Levon Sarkisyan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Levon Sarkisyan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 89th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eladio Sotorrio in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96th minute, Eladio Sotorrio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Unidose II FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
