It was Raul Quinteros who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Orlando Loreto got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. In the 47th minute, Colombia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Raul Quinteros fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento got a free kick in the 54th minute.
