In the 10th minute of the match, Costin Duca tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Camilo Freixa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet as Costin Duca kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Camilo Freixa. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. Salmuera CP's Costin Duca got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Costin Duca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Camilo Freixa was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. When Costin Duca came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Salmuera CP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Costin Duca couldn't finish the play. In the 21stth minute of the game Costin Duca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bolivia's Camilo Freixa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute, Alfonso de la Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salmuera CP's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Torcuato Herrero in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute of the match Salmuera CP got a corner. Bolivia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Torcuato Herrero ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ali Gopala Pillai was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 35 minutes into the game, Costin Duca recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Camilo Freixa. Costin Duca showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 41 minutes into the game, Pablo Martinez lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Camilo Freixa. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The supporters of Salmuera CP booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Gallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camilo Freixa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costin Duca in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Eduardo Fontirroig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the game, Salmuera CP's Ali Gopala Pillai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Camilo Freixa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costin Duca in the 74th minute of play forced Bolivia's goalkeeper Camilo Freixa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
