Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isaltino Baptista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Isaltino Baptista. ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 12 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Felix Luque. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaltino Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 16th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isaltino Baptista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. Luca Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isaltino Baptista having to make a save. 28 minutes into the game, Leonardo Leoz threw the ball into play from the sideline. ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's Samir Uzhan quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Dante Lacasa was a little too slow when Robert Budrewicz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-2. In the 39th minute, Luca Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 42nd minute of play forced ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's goalkeeper Isaltino Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isaltino Baptista having to make a save. İstemihan Akcebe's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. İstemihan Akcebe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th match minute, ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by İstemihan Akcebe to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Budrewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 53 minutes into the game, Roman Wojton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. After a rather tough play, ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's Ali Demirci got a free kick in the 55th minute. Isaltino Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 60th minute of play. Isaltino Baptista didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Isaltino Baptista made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaltino Baptista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's Isaltino Baptista got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's Isaltino Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 71st minute of play. In the 90th minute, Buğra Zoral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's Esen Sevimli was substituted for Ali Demirci. After a rather tough play, ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's Buğra Zoral got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Isaltino Baptista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Gaona in the 93rd minute. The ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
