Jose Correa hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Barrenta SC's Agustín Tastzian managed to work through Venezuela's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Agustín Tastzian tried to sneak it across the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Barrenta SC's Di Marinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Di Marinho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 11th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Barrenta SC's Patric Isaksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 14th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 15th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. The Barrenta SC fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Barrenta SC's Agustín Tastzian looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Di Marinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Patric Isaksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Patricio Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The supporters of Barrenta SC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Luiz Paulo do Valle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 39 minutes of play, Barrenta SC's Di Marinho made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Agustín Tastzian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Agustín Tastzian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. If Di Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patric Isaksson made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. 67 minutes into the match, Agustín Tastzian notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 70 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Wellington de Godoi came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Fellipe Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barrenta SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
