Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Goren Baños started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 6th minute of play forced 1947 FC's goalkeeper Marcelino Nuxila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelino Nuxila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 8th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelino Nuxila was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 11th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Nuxila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo-Hernán Vallejo in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Goren Baños. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute, Gustavo-Hernán Vallejo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelino Nuxila was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Nuxila having to interfere. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Huang Bing Ran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 1947 FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 54 played minutes 1947 FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristobal Baumar. Nemesio Austin hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the match, 1947 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Marcelino Nuxila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelino Nuxila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 65th minute of the match. Melchor Xacintu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when 1947 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jordan Poole didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1947 FC made a substitution. Americo Artal replaced Gustavo-Hernán Vallejo. In the 75th minute, Jordan Poole hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute Ariel Bonachea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelino Nuxila made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. 1947 FC's Americo Artal got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute Ariel Bonachea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Bonachea, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Americo Artal came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after 1947 FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcelino Nuxila in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
