Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita made the kick off and thus started the match. Jyrki Saarelainen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Rovine Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jyrki Saarelainen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Turcescu came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manole Frunză in the 15th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Negara was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Victor Negara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victor Negara. Victor Negara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Negara having to interfere. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manole Frunză in the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Rovine Craiova's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Victor Negara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Victor Negara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Rovine Craiova players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-2.

In the 52nd minute of the match Rovine Craiova got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alexandru Tudorică ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ecuador's goalie and right to Marcel Turcescu. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ecuador's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 54 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Victor Negara, 1-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manole Frunză in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Victor Negara in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Rovine Craiova's Alexandru Tudorică tried to score from far away in the 62nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manole Frunză, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Daniel Zorita made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 69thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Victor Negara would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jyrki Saarelainen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute Rovine Craiova were awarded a corner. Alexandru Tudorică went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Rovine Craiova's Jyrki Saarelainen to a score. 2-3 in the 73rd minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jyrki Saarelainen in the 86th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Turcescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Manole Frunză left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rovine Craiova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jyrki Saarelainen in the 95th minute of play. Rovine Craiova's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alexandru Tudorică in the 97th minute.
