Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. Kryspin Banan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Tasis's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pogoń Szczecin's zone, Eliseo Noboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kryspin Banan came out of the goal and Eliseo Noboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 8th minute of play forced Pogoń Szczecin's goalkeeper Kryspin Banan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pogoń Szczecin's Kryspin Banan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Puig in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Lautaro Puig ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kryspin Banan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 19th minute Eliseo Noboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kryspin Banan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Tasis in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kryspin Banan saved Pogoń Szczecin from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Pogoń Szczecin's Leon Wnukowski got a free kick in the 24th minute. Hugo Ferrant's late challenge caught a Pogoń Szczecin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Ferrant helped the player get up and apologised. After 40 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Ferrant. After 42 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. In the 46th minute, Axel Tasis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olgierd Moryl stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Puig took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kryspin Banan. Kryspin Banan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 57 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Costa Rica's Axel Tasis fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 65th minute of the match Hugo Ferrant shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kryspin Banan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 70thth minute of the game Axel Tasis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pogoń Szczecin's Kryspin Banan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Puig got free with Kryspin Banan in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Kryspin Banan was a little too slow when Eliseo Noboa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 0-6. Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig suffered a sore foot after 90 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 91 minutes into the game, Janusz Prokowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pogoń Szczecin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Pogoń Szczecin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Janusz Prokowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kryspin Banan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 94th minute, which inside left pole to 0-7. The Pogoń Szczecin supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Costa Rica's performance. The match ended with a win for Costa Rica.
