Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Volvimos mejores's Eurico Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 4th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Asteri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuel Asteri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute of the match. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Asteri having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Samuel Asteri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th match minute, Volvimos mejores was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Faro to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play forced Volvimos mejores's goalkeeper Samuel Asteri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Volvimos mejores's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Samuel Asteri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 28th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Asteri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eurico Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Asteri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Samuel Asteri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 39th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Cordearo in the 40th minute of play. Eurico Lima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Asteri having to interfere.

52 minutes into the match, Volvimos mejores's goalkeeper Samuel Asteri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Samuel Asteri firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Asteri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 57 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Samuel Asteri. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Asteri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baraquiel Labarra, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 78 minutes, Inocencio Valente made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Samuel Asteri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute Inocencio Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 86 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 89 played minutes Volvimos mejores got a freekick which was hit by Baltasar Ursino. Daniel Zorita, 90 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
